Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP)

The SCTP clubs in Kingman, Az provide youth the ability to learn gun safety rules while maintaining a competitive learning experience. These clubs provide coaches, shells, and proper firearm training with shotguns that can lead to pursuits of scholarships, academic rides, or even the shooting sports. We challenge our youth to stride for their best and to have a fun and educational experience. Mohave Top Guns and Desert Bighorns are both clubs currently with SCTP in Kingman, Az.

National Archery in Schools Program (NASP) & Scholastic Action Shooting Program (SASP)

Both of these programs a relatively new to youth shooting programs and are gaining speed fast. NASP is a great program to get youth involved in that may not be ready, or comfortable, to use firearms. SASP is a steel target pistol shooting program which covers speed and accuracy with .22 caliber – .45 caliber pistols. This program also teaches the fundamental safety of handling and firing a pistol. Not only do these programs provide safety and guidance for youth, but also provide a chance at earning scholarships and even full rides from well known universities. Youth will be able to take advantage of both of these programs at Kingman High School.

High School Shooting Athletes

That is right! Our local high school, Kingman High School, has a shooting club on campus which deals with shotguns, archery, and pistol (rifle in the future). Of course no firearms are allowed on campus and, therefore, the club uses the range at Bank Street Guns for pistol and the Mohave Sportsman Club range to shoot. Archery is coached on campus and is a great way for teens to get into shooting if they are not comfortable around firearms. In fact, the first year the club decided to compete, they not only placed at state with team and individual awards, but also qualified for nationals. Take advantage of Arizona’s first public high school shooting club and have your kids sign up!
